The London to Paris Challenge involves cycling from Trafalgar Square in the city of London, to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The bike challenge covers 180 miles over 3 consecutive days.
The adventure includes a support team, hotel stop in France, a ferry across the English challenge and we will bring your bikes back in the van for you to enjoy some time in Paris.
The whole challenge is supported by a Challenge Central team leaders and a vehicle to assist with any problems that may occur along route.
London to Newhaven Approx 65 MilesThe challenge begins in the bustling city of London at Trafalgar Square at 12pm.
From Trafalgar Square challengers will be lead out of London and towards the South Coast of England. The route south is similar to the London to Brighton course including the infamous Ditchling Beacon.
Once reaching Brighton we will head east along the coast for the final few miles to Newhaven where will we catch the night ferry. There will an opportunity to eat, recover and freshen up before boarding the boat.
Dieppe to beauvais - Approx 65 miles Arriving in Dieppe in the early hours of the morning the toughest part of the challenge will commence. Led by head torches and the CC leaders, challengers will cycle in the dark on the 'green way' cycle track to Forges-les Eaux where we will stop for breakfast.
From Forges-Les-Eaux we will head to our overnight stop in Beauvais. We should arrive in Beauvais early afternoon where challengers will have free time to enjoy town before the final push to Paris in the morning.
beauvais to Paris Approx 52 miles
The final day will take us into the heart of Paris to the Eiffel Tower where our cycling adventure will be complete. The smooth winding roads are an absolute delight to cycle all the way up to Pontoise where will take a final break.
Pontoise to Paris is similar to getting out of London - a lot of stop-starting but the surroundings are rather more interesting as you are able to pick out Paris landmarks in the distance.
We aim to arrive in Paris by early afternoon, Challengers will be able to celebrate their achievement in a Parisian restaurant or bar.
*Note that the itinerary is subject to change and this should be viewed as a guide.
Once you have arrived in Paris, we will offer to bring your bikes back whilst you remain and enjoy Paris for a few days. You will be able to collect your bikes when you return to England.

180 miles of cycling in just 3 days is no easy task but providing you are currently active, this challenge is certainly achievable for the average person.
How should I train for the London to Paris Bike?Relevance is always the key to training for an event. In this case you are cycling (a long way!) So your first point of call for training is out on your bike.
If the weather doesn't allow outdoor biking then a turbo trainer, which uses your own bike would be a suitable replacement. This means you can get to use to your own bike whilst cycling in the comfort of your home.
Spinning classes are another excellent way preparing yourself for cycling. Although it is important to remember that a spinning class lasts 45 minutes to an hour, whereas you will be cycling all day (at a much lower intensity.)
If cycling is not possible, the gym can be used to help strengthen the same muscles required for cycling. Exercises such as squats, deadlifts and calf raises will all help increase leg strength.
What should I do for food? There will opportunities to buy food throughout the weekend at lunch breaks and hotels stops.
We recommend that you bring packed lunches with you for 3 days which will be left in your rucksack, stored in the support vehicle.
You will need a steady supply of energy whilst you are cycling so be sure to keep fast releasing sources of energy such as bananas, energy bars and gels with you or on your bike
No one will be left behind.
There will be Challenge Central leaders on each trip catering for riders of different speeds and we will try to keep the group together as much as possible.
You will have the kit with you to fix it. Our guides will be there to assist if there is a problem.
Road bikes are ideal but that doesn't exclude the use of mountain bikes. If you are going to use a mountain bike we suggest you put a set of slick tyres on it to help decrease friction and increase speed.
