Charity Spotlight: Cancer Hair Care

Our charity affiliate Cancer Hair Care talks to us about the work they do for cancer patients:

Who we are

Cancer Hair Care is a pioneering and unique hair loss charity that helps patients through each stage of their hair loss journey.

Through a combination of our skilled, compassionate volunteers and comprehensive expertise, we are very proud to have helped support thousands of patients to date.

At Cancer Hair Care, we truly believe that each and every individual is worth supporting, so that no one has to face cancer and hair loss alone.

Everything we do is focused on putting the needs of our patients (and their families) first.

Giving people the specialist support they need takes them from feeling fragile and vulnerable to being able to face cancer and hair loss with confidence.

Our vision is a future where everyone has the emotional support and practical advice they need, should they lose their hair due to cancer treatments… And we’re the only UK charity dedicated to making this happen.

What we do

Based in Hertfordshire, Cancer Hair Care offers services throughout the UK.

Founded in 2005 by hairdresser Jasmin Julia Gupta, we became a registered charity in 2012. We offer free, expert advice and support on all aspects of hair loss before, during and after cancer treatments.

Every 2 minutes, a person in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. A cancer diagnosis brings with it a great deal of anxiety and fear of the unknown challenges ahead. The emotional and life-changing experience of hair loss at such a time seems particularly cruel. With our caring approach and unique expertise, the cancer patients we support needn’t face hair loss alone.
