Lloyds Bank and Crisis cyclists in Paris and beside their ride support vehicle

Corporate & charity case study

Lloyds Bank & Crisis:
pedalling for a purpose.

A three-day London-to-Paris cycling challenge that brought Lloyds Bank Treasury colleagues together around fundraising for Crisis.

The objective

Bring colleagues together around a shared cause.

Lloyds Bank Treasury colleagues wanted to raise funds for Crisis through a challenge that would unite the team. With a wide range of cycling abilities in the group, the experience needed to feel organised, supported and achievable without losing the scale of the challenge.

The challenge

London to Paris in three days.

Challenge Central shaped a fully supported three-day London-to-Paris ride for the group. The event combined a clear shared destination with an operating plan designed around different paces and levels of cycling experience.

Pace groups

Riders could move with people working at a compatible pace.

Checkpoints & lunch

Planned stops helped structure each day on the road.

Guides & support

Guiding, mechanical support, first aid and a support vehicle formed part of the event delivery.

Journey logistics

Accommodation, bag transfers and bike storage were coordinated around the ride.

The experience

Operational detail that kept the focus on the ride.

By coordinating the route, daily logistics and on-road support, Challenge Central gave colleagues the space to focus on cycling together, encouraging one another and fundraising for Crisis.

The event was well received and helped inspire the wider Crisis City Walks created for Lloyds colleagues.
