The story
Mental Health UK wanted a substantial but inclusive walking challenge that could bring supporters together while allowing the charity team to concentrate on fundraising and awareness.
The client story describes a supported 20km event first developed in London. The format later expanded to Birmingham and Edinburgh, creating the need for consistent participant communications and event delivery across different city routes.
Challenge Central's role covered route planning, event staffing, participant information, refreshment points, signage, permissions, risk documentation, event infrastructure and delivery on the day. Each location needed to feel part of one event while working in its own urban environment.
