Rethink Mental Illness Walky Talky
16th July 2022
Full Price: £10
Come and join us for the Walky-Talky 2022 adventure around the beautiful City of London, whilst raising much-needed funds for Rethink.
This 20km walk around one of the most famous capitals in the world is a must for all the family. Regardless of how well you know our constantly improving and growing city, you will discover new parts and see the latest edition to the incredible London skyline whilst witnessing all the old favourites from many different angles.
We’ll be jumping back-and-forth across the Thames to ensure we soak up all the culture, atmosphere, and best vantage points. From the hip and trendy Southbank with its amazing arts, museums, and Shakespeare’s Globe to the cool skate-park, London Eye, and the beautiful yet poignant Covid Wall.
Whilst over on the Embankment, we walk around St Paul’s Cathedral, The Tower of London, and the stunning St Katherine’s Dock. Walking across the most famous bridge in the world we’ll have great views of the iconic buildings, aptly nicknamed The Cheesegrater, The Boomerang, The Gerkin, and very appropriately, The Walky-Talky building!!
The circular walk takes approximately 4 hours, starting and finishing under Nelson’s watchful eye at Trafalgar Sq. And like the London Marathon, we’ll be ending the route bypassing the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and as we make it up The Mall, passing through Admiralty Arch to complete the walk back to Trafalgar Sq, you’ll be tired, slightly weary but hugely satisfied, very proud of yourself and have memories that will last forever.
