In our quest for adventure, we veer off the beaten path, straying away from the much-trodden Greenway. We will guide you through some of the county's best-kept secrets, revealing tracks unknown even to the most seasoned of local walkers.

The Waggon Wheel

Join us for this challenging and yet fun and social circular walk from one of the most beautiful pubs in Hertfordshire.  Starting and finishing from the lovely Waggon & Horses in Gravely we will undertake a cross-country 22km walk taking in amazing views, rolling countryside and almost definitely a park or 2 that you didn't even know existed. 

The walk is professionally guided, fully supported both on foot by staff and also with a vehicle never too far away with numerous check points this walk won't fail to impress you. 

With food and drinks provided at the start, snacks throughout and a pint/wine at the end all included as part of the package, this fun, social walk represents amazing value for money.

The Perfect Plume

Immerse yourself in the rustic charm of the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire countryside with brand new 'Perfect Plume'  This walk is our most untamed trail yet, leading you on an enchanting journey through the picturesque villages circling Hitchin.

Brace yourself for a 20km challenge that stretches across undulating terrains, from footpaths and bridleways to lesser-trodden tracks. The crown jewel of this route? An exhilarating climb over the scenic Pegsdon Hills, which promises panoramic vistas that are nothing short of spectacular.

Our starting point is the gorgeous 'Plume of Feathers', nestled in the heart of the quaint village of Ickleford.  Here, Hannah & Paul will be waiting to kick-start your day with delicious bacon rolls and a refreshing brew of tea or coffee. And of course, our ever-reliable snack van is always within reach to keep you fueled throughout your journey.  This gorgeouys pub has ample parking, two bars and a dining area as well as a hugely improved garden since they took over the pub.

Join us for the last walk of the year from the gorgeous Three Horseshoes in beautiful Norton.  

The amazing team at the pub are excellent hosts with a superb food offering and plenty of parking!  The pub loops have been a huge success and we'd love to end the year with our best one yet!  

20km of cross country walking and talking the week before Christmas is a great way to kick off the party season and we hope you'll join us once again as we explore the beautiful rolling countrysides of leafy Hertfordshire.  

The Challenge Central elves are out in force to ensure it's as exciting and new as possible and our 4th pub loop of the year will bring the curtain down on an amazing series! 

Please park at the back car park (behind the car park you immediately turn into) as we'll meet you between 8.30/8.45 for bacon sarnies and a coffee.  The walk starts at 9am sharp and we really can't wait to see you for the final event of 2023.
