The Brecon Military Challenge
>> Single day, three-stage, two-discipline event in the Brecon Beacons; the training ground of the SAS.
>> Circular route including a 15-mile trek over 5 peaks with two 10-mile cycle legs either side.
>> Fully supported by the Challenge Central team from start to finish.
>> Starting at first light, the challenge will include 5 stages:
Stage 1 – Cycle from Brecon Town to the CP1 at the foot of Pen-Y-Fan mountain - 10 miles
Stage 2 – Trek up and over Corn Du, Pen-Y-Fan, Cribyn, Fan-Y-Big, and Tor-y-Foel - 15 miles
Stage 3 – Cycle from CP2 at Pont Crawnon to Brecon Town - 10 miles
Event Day
Approx Timings
>> 06:30 - Event Registration, The Watton Carpark, LD3 7EE.
>> 07:00 - Stage 1 – Cycle 10 miles to the Check Point 1, Storey Arms Mountain Centre.
>> 08:00 - Stage 2 – Trek up and over five of Brecon's peaks, 15 miles.
>> 15:00 - Arrive at Check Point 2, refuel station.
>> 15:30 - Stage 3 - Cycle 10 miles back to Brecon.
>> 16:30 - Complete the challenge.

>> Travel Insurance (to cover you for cycling activities)

>> Challenge Leaders, leading the challenge from start to finish.
>> Support vehicle assisting the leadership team and participants. Strategically parked in key positions, carrying additional supplies and providing essential back-up emergency support.
>> Bike and equipment transfer to/from both checkpoints.
>> Cold Buffet lunch – a range of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pastries, fruit, salads etc.
>> Hot & Cold refreshments and snacks at the end of each stage.
